Smith leads Murray St. over Austin Peay

MURRAY, Ky. (AP) — Anthony Smith had 17 points and 11 rebounds as Murray State extended its home win streak to 15 games, topping Austin Peay 75-61 on Saturday night. The Racers earned a share of the Ohio Valley Conference regular season championship.

Tevin Brown and KJ Williams added 15 points each for the Racers (22-8, 15-3), who tied Belmont in the final standings. Belmont will have the top seed in the OVC Tournament.

Jaiveon Eaves had 13 points for Murray State. Williams also had 11 rebounds.

Jordyn Adams had 27 points for the Governors (20-11, 14-4). Eli Abaev added 10 points and 14 rebounds. Antwuan Butler had 10 points.

Terry Taylor, the Governors' leading scorer coming into the matchup at 22 points per game, was held to only 9 points (3 of 10).

The Racers leveled the season series against the Governors with the win. Austin Peay defeated Murray State 71-68 on Feb. 13.
