"The
Psychic Madman" Jim Karol |
Jim Karol's
Picks:
Now we are down to the Final Four and we can add
predicting all 4 teams to my incredible run here in the sports! I
know that taking all 4 #1 seeds doesn't seem that remarkable, but if
you would have heard me on Coast to Coast AM in February, you would
have heard these same 4 teams, before they were all #1 seeds.
Now lets see if we can bring home the whole thing. I am just going
to leave what I had written prior to the start of the tourney!
For the NFL year
we finished 14-7 here on FreePlays.com and
25-8 (76%)
overall. The college season ended up at 16-8 (67%).
So here you go! |

FINAL FOUR PREDICTION - OK ,so I took a look and I am not
really stepping out on a limb! The Number 1 seeds are there
for a reason and I look for them to all head to San Antonio.
OK so maybe I am stepping out a bit calling for all 4 #1 seed to
make it. That has never happened before, but I think it will
happen this year. Texas and Duke would be the two teams that
scare me a bit on knocking off the #1's in their bracket, but I see
Memphis and UCLA moving on against them. Once they get there I see
North Carolina and UCLA reaching the Championship game. In a
battle of two of the most storied hoop schools in the country, I
look for the Tarheels to cut down the nets!

LONG DISTANCE TELEPATHY
The Hustle -
Convincing someone that you have incredible psychic powers is even more believable if you can do it over the phone. Here is a great example. While talking to a friend on the phone have him shuffle a deck of cards. Have him pick any card and turn it over but not tell you what it is. Next, have him assign that card a number according to its value. (i.e. Ace is 1, two is 2, three is 3,… Jack is 11, Queen is 12, and King is 13.) Next have him add the next higher number to his card. (If he picked a King of Spades, he would add 14 making the total 27.) Have him multiple that result by 5. (In this case the answer would be 135.) Tell your friend that we are going to use the bridge value of the suites: Clubs = 6, Hearts = 7, Diamonds = 8, and Spades = 9. Have him add the value of the suit to his total. (135 + 9 = 144) Finally have him tell you the result and you immediately tell him the card and the suit he picked.
How it’s done –
All you have to do is subtract 5 from your friend’s answer. The first figure tells you the card the second figure tells you the suit (according to the values of the suits listed above).
In our example the result was 144. Subtract 5 = 139, 13 = King and 9 = Spades. It’s incredible. I wish I knew how it worked. |

Handicapper Columns from
Time to Build a Champion! by Tom Hatfield from Razor Sharp Sports
Every year you see a couple of NFL teams take all that extra money that they have under the salary cap and over-spend on high priced free agents. More often than not these teams seem, for one reason or another, to fall short of their main goal – ...
