Manny Being Manny

A couple of quick notes.  For the true sports fan, this is the best time of the year.  Yes, the excitement of a new football season is upon us.  That in itself is great.  Every sport fan has hope this will be  “The Season”.  That feeling last about four weeks. Then the pretenders fall from grace and the only shot of “their team” making the Super Bowl is for their fantasy football team.  Anyway, aside from football, the pennant run in baseball is incredible.  Say what you will about BUD Selig, but, the one good thing he has brought to the sport, is the wildcard.  It gives added hope for Brewer fans.  It allows Tampa Bay and Boston BOTH to make the playoffs.  Speaking of the Brewers, Milwaukee needed to fire Ned Yost.  Why have another Willie Randoff situation? THEN say Yost should’ve been fired.  This at least still gives them a chance now.  Bud Selig, like we said, say what you will about him, and we will.  But c’mon BUD there’s no way Houston should’ve played in Milwaukee… the Cubs home away from home.  That’s just not right.  The LA Dodgers would not be where they are right now without Manny.   Manny is just being Manny right now.  He’s having fun… the way baseball should be. However, there’s a honeymoon period in everything we do, this will be no different next season when he signs long term for any team.  Manny should get MVP votes, but probably won’t because he is Many Rameirez after all.  So who will get the National league MVP?  Howard, Braun, Utley, Wright, Delgado, Holliday?  More importantly, who will win the World Series?  Most likely it won’t be the Cubs.  We’ll leave it at that and just remind everyone, this is a great time of year. DON’T FORGET ABOUT THE BASEBALL!
