Bragging rights are up for grabs in the Keystone State here in week 3 as the Eagle host the Steelers.  Both teams are coming of Prime-time games last week with totally different results.  Last Sunday night the Steelers shut down the Browns high-powered offense and hung on for a tight 10-6 victory to improve their record to 2-0.  On the other side of the ball, the Eagles (1-1) dropped a high-scoring shootout on Monday Night in Dallas 41-37.   So with these two teams getting together what can we expect?

We have seen two different Steeler offenses in their two games.  In week one they looked unstoppable scoring at will against Houston in a 38-17 rout.  Last week the Browns and the windy conditions slowed down the offense.  So which offense do we see this week.  I would expect something in the middle of their first two.  RB Willie Parker looks like he is running healthy.  He has had 2 staight 100 yard games rushing.  He is currently 1st in the AFC and 3rd overall in rushing yards with 3 TDs. Defensively, the Steelers have put together 2 very strong outings.  If you take away the two meaningless 4th quarter TDs by Houston when they trailed 35-3, the Steelers defense hasn’t allowed the ball to cross the goal line.

For Philly, the story so far has been offense, offense and more offense.  QB Donovan McNabb, RB Brian Westbrook and company have been putting up points almost at will.  In their two games the Eagles are averaging 37.5 points per game scoring 38 against St Louis and 37 against Dallas. McNabb is 2nd in the NFL in passing yards with 642.  He has also had 4 TD passes and no interceptions.  RB Brian Westbrook continues to be one of the most dangerous double threats in the NFL.  He has 149 rushing yards and 3 scores to go along with 8 catches and 2 more receiving scores.  Defensively, the Jim Johnson blitz crazy defense struggled last week getting to Tony Romo last week.  The 41 points scored against them was one of the most ever against a Johnson defensive unit ever.  In week one they did shut down a very weak St Louis Ram team 38-3.  Like I said before with the Steeler offense, look for the Eagles defense to end up somewhere between their first two outings.

Looking at this match-up and I would have to say to look for this one to go OVER the total of 45.  It looks to me like the Eagles are able to score points on pretty much anyone.  The Steelers offense will get back on track and with a veteran Ben Roethlisberger and the healthy Willer Parker, they should find paydirt against the inconsistant Eagle D.  Free winner for this week: Take PITTSBURGH/PHILADLEPHIA OVER the total of 45. We are already 3-0 this football season here.  Don’t forget you can always get a free winner each and everyday from us by going to www.feeplays.com and clicking on Razor Sharp Sports or you can alwasy call the Razor Sharp Free Pick Phone at 1-800-549-7111.
