2017 Kentucky Derby Odds

Its the first Saturday in May and it can only mean one thing for the horse racing fan. Its time for the 143rd running of the Kentucky Derby. This year’s 20 horse field is fairly green and erratic, thus pretty wide open with no real clear favorite. The field always has an interesting story line or two and this year is no different including a nice local favorite story J Boys Echo, whose trainer Dale Romans is a local boy whose dad was a trainer at Churchill Downs and a one-eye horse aptly named patch, who will certainly get some love even as a 30/1 long shot. So ladies get out your best hats and order up some mint juleps and get ready to enjoy the most exciting two minutes in all of sports. Here are the opening odds as well as the current track odds as of 1:30 Friday afternoon.
